NZ Web Fest

Open to submissions from all countries. The only requirement for consideration in this category is that we must be able to present your work, if selected, at NZ Web Fest. Work submitted for consideration must have had a first release online between 1 January 2019 and 31 August 2020. Submissions not in the English language must be subtitled in English. An award will be presented for Best Show. The jury may present additional awards at its discretion.

A pilot for a show or series that, if completed, would qualify for consideration as a web series, ie animation, anthology or episodic fiction, anthology or episodic non-fiction. All genres are accepted excluding vlogs. Shows submitted for consideration must have had their first release online between 1 January 2019 and 31 August 2020. Submissions not in the English language must be subtitled in English. The pilot must be for a show or series that has not released more than 3 episodes at time of submission. An award will be presented for Best Pilot.

For selection purposes we prefer a first episode or season opener, as it usually makes more sense on a cold viewing. The maximum 15-minute requirement is for the episode used for selection purposes.
