About the festival

Olive Tree TV presents our annual 2015 Olive Tree International Story-Teller Film Festival in New York City. This film festival will take place Saturday August 29, 2015. Chosen films will be shown on Olive Tree TV's ROKU channel with over 14,000 subscribers. Winning filmmakers also receive $500 (1st place), $250 (2nd place), and $100 (3rd place). Olive Tree TV Film Festival top selected films will also be given the chance to have their films shown to our Amazon & HULU sub-distributors. Winning films also have an opportunity to be screened August 29, 2015 at the renown Anthology Film Archives in the heart of Manhattan New York City Lower East Side. Olive Tree TV is an IMDB accredited distributor.

Olive Tree TV believes in the power of storytelling to transform lives. We believe life transforming films and documentaries can influence people to take action and change the world. Current Olive Tree TV films include Regional Emmy nominated film "THE PINK ROOM", and the 2013 Student Academy Award winner for Best Documentary, "A SECOND CHANCE". We also distribute "LA MAMA" narrated by Susan Sarandon, as well as "UNTIL THEY ARE HOME" narrated by Kelsey Grammar and "Grand Canal" by Johnny Ma (Grand Jury Prize in Dallas International Film Festival, Top Ten Films of Canada, Sundance Institute Feature Program).

Filmmakers with narrative films (long and short), documentaries (long and short), and animated films from across the United States and worldwide are welcomed to submit work. Previous Olive Tree TV Film Festival winners include Laura Valtorta's "White Rock Boxing" and Hasti Saadi's "Melody of Cradle". For student filmmakers, please ensure you are a student, otherwise your entry is dis-qualified.

The finalists will be announced before August 6, 2015. Prizes will be given for the top three films. The award winners will be announced at the conclusion of the festival on Saturday August 8, 2015. First prize will receive $500. Second prize will receive $250 and third prize will receive $100. These winners along with the remaining finalists will have their films distributed by Olive Tree TV on its Roku TV channel and will be given the chance to have their films shown to our Hulu sub-distributors.
