About the festival

The Oregon State International Film Fest was founded by film enthusiasts teaching international cinemas at Oregon State University. OSIFF is no longer affiliated with Oregon State University.

OSIFF presents award-winning films from across the globe, many of which premiere at Berlinale, Cannes, and Sundance. OSIFF also regularly screens world premieres, US premieres, and west coast premieres. We accept submissions of interesting and unique films in all formats and languages. We might limit run times and other criteria for certain seasons of the year.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, we will screen films online as we accept them. FilmFreeway dates and deadlines for the festival might be confusing and do not reflect what we can and will accomplish.

We are reopening the 2020 season for a special reason: the proceeds of the festival will be used to support our local arthouse partner cinema Darkside Cinema to ensure its survival.

Films accepted for screening will receive the download link for our 2020 laurels and will be considered a part of our line-up for this year.
