FILMS MUST HAVE AN LGBTQ THEME OR CHARACTERS.
Submission Preference: Films may be submitted through a secure online source such as FilmFreeway, Vimeo, or by DVD or Blu-Ray. Our Center and the OutWest Film Festival will not pay for return of any material; in order to have your dvd returned please include a stamp addressed envelope.
Presentation Format: We will exhibit accepted works as Blu-Ray, DVD, or mutually acceptable current digital formats.
All foreign non-English films are required to have English subtitles. Short films must be no longer than 1 hour. Submitter must be 18 years of age or have the film submitted by a guardian.
Entrants are responsible for obtaining any necessary licenses, royalties, release forms, clearances, permits required to present their work. By entering in the 2017 OutWest Film Fest, you authorize that your work is cleared for festival exhibition and accept full legal responsibility for the intellectual property therein. Entry into the festival constitutes permission to exhibit your work and hereby grants Our Center and the OutWest Film Fest the right to utilize an excerpt from any film submitted and accepted for exhibition at the event for promotional purposes.
The OutWest Film Fest does not pay screening fees. By submitting your film via FilmFreeway or any other method, you acknowledge that the festival will not pay to present your work.
The undersigned shall indemnify and hold harmless Our Center and the OutWest Film Fest from and against any and all claims, liabilities, losses, damages, and expenses (including but not limited to attorney's fees, and costs of the court) which may be incurred by reason of any claim involving copyright, trademark, credits, publicity, screening, and loss of or damage to the screening videos entered.
