COVID19 UPDATE (AS OF 4/11/20)
Dear Submitters:
Due to the uncertainty surrounding the Covid-19 crisis, we’ve decided to postpone Philly Sketchfest 2020 (originally scheduled for June 3rd) and reschedule the Film Festival to Late Summer/Early Fall. With continuously updated projections and travel restrictions out there, it became pretty clear that the original June date would not allow us to make this year’s festival the best it could be.
That said, we’ll be working with the Roxy to secure a new date for the near future, and we'll keep everyone updated here when our rescheduled event will be taking place. If you have any concerns, we’re more happy to answer any questions you may have!

On the evening of Weds, June 3rd, we will be holding our 5th annual sketch comedy film festival, which will feature shorts by comedians and funny filmmakers from Philadelphia and beyond. The film festival will coincide with our 4-day live festival, which runs from June 3rd through the 7th. The film fest will begin at 7:30pm at the PSF Roxy Theater.
Last year, we had an incredibly successful turnout for the Film Festival portion of Philly Sketchfest. We were honored to have such an incredible array of hilarious films from both local and out-of-town comedians and filmmakers, and hope to get just as many great entries this year! The submission fee for this year’s film fest is only $10.

Philly Sketchfest’s (PSF) goal is to entertain audiences, support the growth of Philadelphia’s comedy community, and celebrate national and international sketch groups with unique shows, performers, and panels.
Philly Sketchfest was created in 2007 by Ben Maher and David Terruso & Matt Lally (Animosity Pierre). Current producers include Maher, Brian Kelly (Secret Pants / Sketch Up or Shut Up at Philly Improv Theater ) and Curt Riedy (High Dramma).
