Regulations and Registration Terms of the 13th Edition
The "PIAFF", Paris International Animation Film Festival
Will be some time in November 2020
PIAFF is a space to new creators and to the experienced ones specializing in short animated films directed with all animated technics
FILM AND REGISTRATION MUST BE SUBMITTED IN SAME TIME.
1. SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS:
- Can be selected, film with a duration of 1 minute minimum to 25 minutes maximum (the selection committee reserves the right to authorize longer films exceptionally).
- A short film can be directed by one or several persons.
- Autodidacts, students, freelance, professionals or amateurs.
French subtitles preferred for selection, English subtitles are accepted. In case of selection the directors or producers undertake to provide French subtitles one month after the date of the receipt of the mail announcing the selection.
2. ANIMATED FILMS SELECTED:
- Techniques used: traditional, drawing on paper, computer assisted, computer generated, paper cut, puppets, painting…
- Whatever the genre: humour, adventure, musical, fantastic, experimental etc… are
excluded those containing discriminating, insulting, racist, xenophobe, paedophile or pictures and/or purposes
- Whatever the age and the nationality of the directors
- Year of realization The film must have been made from 1st May 2019
3. THE SELECTION OF THE FILM CAN BE MADE EITHER:
- By e-mail : a link to your films in good quality
- By the FilmFreeway platform
- By Internet : example " We Transfer " good quality
If your film is selected you will have a response mid-october

4. SUBMISSION TERMS AND CONSTITUTION OF THE FOLDER:
- 1 picture of the film
- 1 picture of the director( s)
- 1 Registration form fully completed, dated and signed for each film and in case of a collective realization, fill up "a coordinated frame" per director.
The registration form implies acceptance of this rules. Each candidate declares to be effectively author or copyright holder on this artwork or artworks registered and as such be the holder of all the literary property rights, dramatic and musical.
- For a minor the declaration must be mandatory completed by at least one of his/her parents or one of his/her tutors.

World Films Selection:
Grand Prix

Pro Selection, Student Selection, Coups de Cœur selection
6. RULES AND REGISTRATION MODALITIES: The registration is free
The PIAFF reserves the rights to broadcast films during the Festival
In order to ensure the promotion of the festival, productions and right holders of the artwork selected give their free agreement that their film may be, if necessary, presented to the media.
If necessary, an extract of 30 seconds of the film may be requested to promote the festival in the media.
You grant PIAFF the right to broadcast your film if it receives an award in one or two screenings for the promotion of the festival.
No commercial use will be made.
The rightful owners assign to the PIAFF, without compensation, the rights of reproduction of the images of their film attached to the file of inscription for a diffusion in the press, the catalog of the festival or on the website of the PIAFF .
In order to make the festival known a mention of the selection on social networks and websites will be very appreciable.

Attention, an incomplete or unreadable folder will not permit the selection of the film.
