ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
Acceptable are all films of all genres with maximum length of 30 minutes. If you have a longer film that you feel that would fit the festival especially well, please contact us by email.
The production year is not limited.
We accept films in any language – however, films not made in English or Finnish must have English subtitles. If possible (but not obligatory), please provide us with a subtitled
version of your English spoken film also. Separate subtitles are not accepted.
GENERAL RULES
Entries must be received at latest on 20th of August, 2020.
Entries must be accompanied by a short synopsis (maximum 250 words) and a still photo of the film for promotional purposes.
Filmmakers whose entries have been selected to Pori Film Festival will be informed at latest on 1st of October 2020.
Concerning the selected films, submitter grants the rights to exhibit the film in the Pori Film Festival 2020.
50 euros screening fee is paid for each film selected.
Submitter also grants Pori Film Festival the right to exhibit part of the film (10 % of total length and maximum 3 minutes) and the still image of the film for festival promotional purposes on website and social media, as well as in catalogue and press material.
Submitter also agrees that the festival can save the selected film in the festival archive. Any further use of the film and other sent material will be negotiated separately with the rights owner.
Films and artworks exhibited at the venue might be partly seen in photographic or filmed documentation of the festival.
The submitter warrants to the Pori Film Festival that they have all the necessary permissions to enter and exhibit this film and that the film does not infringe the rights of any third party.
The selection will be made on completed productions only.
We encourage the filmmakers of the selected films to attend the festival! For those attending the event, the festival will provide: accommodation and lunch during the festival, entrance to all screenings and concerts. Unfortunately we are not able to cover for travel costs. Accommodation costs can be covered for three nights per film.
