A Short film competition to keep everyone gainfully engaged during the Corona Pandemic. Submission is free, and winners will be announced daily. A Token will be given to the best movie produced each week.

This category is "OUT OF COMPETITION" (Non-Competitive) and attracts NO AWARDS. Submission is FREE. Short Films from around the world are accepted. Remember that films submitted here are NOT IN COMPETITION. Student Filmmakers are eligible to submit in this category but their productions must be outstanding. There is no submission fee attached to this category but the requirements are rigid. Audio and Video qualities of submitted films MUST be professionally acceptable or else they will be rejected.

Short Films made by kids aged 7 - 15 years of age. If you submit in this category and your film was not made by a kid, ALL your submissions to other categories will be DISQUALIFIED. This Category is competitive and Student Filmmakers are eligible in this category. These submissions must be accompanied by evidence that the kids handled MOST of the film making process with very little support from an adult. Adults can come in and help with post production but a project with mostly kids' input will stand a higher chance to be screened.

This category is for films made "for kids". Unlike the category for Films made by Child Directors, the films submitted in this category can be made by adults, but MUST be child-friendly and suitable for kids of all ages. Otherwise, the submission will be immediately disqualified.

This category is for the Best submitted African Animation.

This category is FREE as we seek to encourage the creation of 360 degree movies; especially in Africa.

This category is meant to celebrated the talents behind the Adverts / Commercials we see on Television or on the Internet. For submissions by Advertising Agencies, the Hourglass Award will be presented to the Agency. For winning submissions, the script writer, director, producer and DOP will be honored. Submission is FREE

This category is free because we want to celebrate the female African filmmakers who thrive in a male - dominated field. The Movie MUST be entirely directed or produced by a woman.

This Award is for the movie with a Theme that best resonates with the Festival's Overall Theme ("Stories that Touch" This is RTF's MOST VALUABLE AWARD. Decision will be based on the Judges' perception of the film, the Audience Reaction to the Film, active participation of the filmmakers, and the feedback from the Q&A sessions. It is Competitive and also the biggest of the "BIG SEVEN". Please, if your project does not fit the Festival's theme for the year, "DON'T SUBMIT HERE" otherwise, you will be disqualified.

The movie MUST be directed entirely by a woman. This category is for Female Directors (Outside Africa).

We know that there are very many great masterpieces and blockbusters in the making so we have a competitive category for "BEST WORK IN PROGRESS" Film in production. Filmmakers from across the world are expected to send an awesome edit of their best shots to showcase their ingenuity in directing,lighting and other technical aspects of the film. The submitted clip can also showcase the prowess of their actors. Submitted clip should be a maximum of Ten minutes long and should be watermarked along the lower thirds. This is a competitive category.

This Category is Competitive and an award will be given to the best Nollywood (Nigerian) Film in Competition. Only New Filmmakers' works should be submitted in this category.

This Category is Competitive and an award will be given to the best Nollywood (Nigerian) Short Film done by an established filmmaker in Competition. Students and New Filmmakers' works should not be submitted in this category.

Competitive Submissions for Feature Films by Nigerians - whether living in Nigeria or abroad. The Director or Producer MUST be of Nigerian Origin.

This Category is Competitive and an award will be given to the best non-Nigerian African Film in Competition.

This Category is Competitive and an award will be given to the best International Short Film (From outside Africa) in Competition.

Submissions for Feature Films by Non-African Film Makers. The Director or Producer MUST NOT be of Nigerian Origin. The actors could be Nigerian though. We prefer Films that have been Theatrically released or Films that have done Festival rounds. New Films can also have their World Premiere as well.

This Category is for the best movie shot in 3d and attracts the New Technology Conformity Certificate/Plaque (For both the Director and Producer) along with the Award. It also attracts a cash prize / gift worth $500
