RULES FOR REELPITCH
Any pitch video 10 minutes and under is eligible for this video contest.
You have until July 4, 2016 at 11:59 pm to submit your video in one of four categories: Pre-production, production, post production or distribution & outreach.
One video can be submitted to only one category. But a filmmaker may submit up to 4 different videos in up to 4 different categories.
You should select the category by your film’s current production phase.
The films begin competing ion the first round in their category on July 5, 2016 at 9:00 am MT. The top 3 films in each category + 2 jury selected films in each category move on to compete for the $25,000 in the finals round. Audience voting for the first round ends at 9:00 pm MT on July 11, 2016.
The finals voting round opens July 12th MT at 9am and closes July 18th at 9pm MT.
Prizes: 1st place Audience Awards video wins $10,000. The 2nd place most voted video wins $2500. The 1st place jury selected film wins $10,000 and the jury’s honorable mention wins $2500 awarding a total of $25,000 to four videos.
You must have the authority to submit the video for our consideration.
Your film will be viewable to the general public for voting purposes.
You must have obtained all the necessary rights (including music rights), consents, authorizations and licenses covering the film. There must not be pending or anticipated litigation regarding the film.
The Audience Awards will send the payment via Paypal within 30 days of the video contest ending to the email address provided during site registration.
Payment is due in full at time of registration and there are no refunds.
Please read all rules and terms before submitting your film.
The film must not include hate speech, excessive violence, slanderous or libelous claims, or any other actionable offenses.
The audience can vote everyday for the films they like once a day during the video contest dates.
The film must not (i) infringe any rights of publicity or privacy, moral rights or IP rights, including any music-related rights, (ii) be defamatory or indecent, and (iii) violate any applicable laws.
On Voting: Each account login may only be used by one person - a single login shared by multiple people is not permitted. You must be a human. Accounts registered by "bots" or other automated methods are not permitted. You are not allowed to purchase votes. One person or legal entity may not maintain more than one free account. You may not vote for someone else. If you are caught cheating and you have a film in a film and video contest, your film will be deleted from the contest and will not be eligible to receive the prizes.
