About the festival

Ritu Rangam Film Festival is a homage to the cinematic vision of the Indian filmmaker Late Rituparno Ghosh. The festival strives to the much-needed platform to indie filmmakers across the globe to showcase their creative pursuits to the group of serious cine-lovers.

RRFF also provides a forum where filmmakers can be recognized for their contributions, have open audience discussions about their films, and connect with local industry professionals.
RRFF screens films by filmmakers of all genders, races, and backgrounds every year. Every filmmaker is welcomed and encouraged to submit their films to this film festival.

All films selected as Official Selection to the festival will qualify for the awards in the following categories:

Terms and rules

1. All shorts must have the maximum running time of 35 minutes (including credits) and completed on or before August 30, 2020.
2. Any shorts submitted to the previous editions of RRFF are uneligible for the submission to the current edition of the festival.
3. All shorts that are not in Bengali or English must have English subtitles.
4. All shorts submitted to this edition of RRFF will be seen and reviewed by a panel of eminent juries from the industry, and their decision will be final.
5. Only the Official Select to the festival will be screened to the audience.
6. Entry fees are non-refundable unless they are covered by the submission protection option, according to the FilmFreeway terms.
7. RRFF can use the trailer/ teaser/ film poster/ stills or BTS for the promotional purpose of the festival.
8. Submitter agrees that he/ she owns all the rights to the film, and for any dispute that may arise in the future, RRFF shall not hold responsible for the same.
9. RRFF reserves the right to reject any film without assigning any reason.
10. RRFF reserves the right to add, delete, or amend any or all the rules & terms of the festival. It is the responsibility of the submitter to check for the same at regular intervals. Any rules & terms added, deleted, or amended will make its effect immediately.
