All film submissions must meet the requirements detailed below. Films that do not meet RYFF requirements will be disqualified.
You may submit a film by completing the online submission form that includes an online link to your film (e.g. YouTube or Vimeo).
Your film must have been written, directed, produced, and technically executed entirely by youth 21 years of age or younger.
Film entries must be appropriate for viewing by the general public; appropriateness will be determined by RYFF at its sole discretion.
Regarding Copyrighted Material: By entering RYFF you are declaring that all material in your production is either entirely original, or you have obtained proper, legal permission to use copyrighted material. For popular songs, you must be able to produce copies of expressed written consent from both the publisher and the record company that states your name, the name of your production, the title of the song, the names of the composer, performer and publisher, and any specific limitations on the use of the song. Note the time frame of this festival. It can take 4-6 months to obtain this permission. Any entry using a popular song without this documentation will be disqualified. Please see additional rules, guidelines, and requirements listed on the online submission form.
