The Roswell Film Festival takes place in the world famous city of Roswell, New Mexico at the Galaxy 8, Allen Theatres Digital Cinema with Luxury Seating. Honoring International Feature and Short Films of all genres in the following categories: General Entry (includes Studio Submissions), Sci-Fi/Fantasy (All things Science Fiction), Independent (non-Studio based films), Documentary, and New Mexico Based Productions. Choose the category you wish to enter/compete in. We will select, by means of a judges panel, the top films to screen live during the festival and be eligible for overall awards.
Taking place annually in April, the Roswell Film Festival hosts Films, Special Events, Panel Discussions and YOU in the Alien Capitol of the World.
Finished films in the categories of Feature Films (running time over 60 minutes) and Short Films (running time under 60 minutes) may enter into the festival.
Standard Entry Fee of $50, Earlybird $30 and Late $75. The fee for the Festival is for already completed films which have not submitted and/or shown at this Festival in the past.

The Rossy Awards winners for Best Film, Best Director, Best Actor, Best Cinematography and Best Editing are announced and presented during our On-Site Festival Awards.
The Top Awarded Films for both Features and Shorts receive Official Certificates. Metal Art Trophies hand crafted by Metalmark Eclectics artist, Josh Berry are awarded for the Best Film Feature & Short and more depending on the number of sponsorships that year. We partner with other institutions and will announce after the awards other items that may be included with your winnings.
