Each entry must be accompanied by a completed entry form and applicable entry fees. Entries must be submitted on Blu-Ray DVD (any region), Quicktime MOV/MP4 File, and DCP Version on a USB 3.0 Flash Drive (Formatted in exFAT). Foreign language work must be dubbed or subtitled in English.
RISF is an awards based competition calling for feature and short length films.
All films are subject to reviews and rejection. All films that are selected for showing in this year's festival will be giving an MPAA show rating for the general audience.
It is kindly requested, though not obligatory, that any awards received be mentioned in the promotional materials or websites of the films or screenplays being awarded.
All submissions are handled fairly and equally. We encourage you to submit as early as possible.
All entries will be viewed by the selection committee. The Festival will make no cuts or changes. All entrants will be notified by email. Selected films will also be posted on our website. The festival does not pay rental fees for submitted work. If selected, exhibition format is Blu-Ray, DCP, and Quicktime MOV/MP4.
If shipping preview copy or screenplay by a method that includes a signature upon delivery, please waive the signature requirement.
Submissions of film or screenplays will be viewed only after your entry fee payment is received and paid in full.
Submission dates listed are postmark deadlines.
The Festival reserves the right to make any necessary changes in scheduling.
We will not transfer PAL for viewing — only forward NTSC format.
The number of screenings, days and venues are at the sole discretion of the Festival.
Cost of shipping is the responsibility of the entrant. Blu-Rays must be sent to the festival prepaid. C.O.D.'S will be refused. All Blu-Ray DVDs must be labeled with the title of the entry, running time, and the name of the director. The festival cannot accept responsibility for damage or loss of materials while in transit.
It is cost prohibitive for the festival to insure individual prints. Make sure you have your own insurance.
We strongly encourage you to only send materials you do not wish to have returned, it's cheaper and easier for all involved. Please do not send us masters, originals, your only copy, etc. Videos will not be returned.
