About the festival

At ScreenCulture we celebrate the art of cinema, we come together at the end of the journey that is filmmaking, to showcase the finalists and invite them to share their stories.

We want artists from all walks of life to come and experience the films of independant and student filmmakers, their stories through the real, surreal and the experimental styles of film practice.

We have seperate student catagories as we celebrate the films submitted via their various institutions around the world, student filmmaking is a tough practice and we want enjoy chances to interview and pick their brains.

This year we are aiming to bring more filmmakers to the stage, with live interviews throughout the event, all artists are welcome to screen culture.

Award Winners will receive official certificates from Screen Culture film festival, along with laurels for their films publishing.

Award Winners will receive a special offer from iPitch.tv and have free access to their platform.
iPitch.tv is an online platform which promotes filmmakers with new ideas and connect them directly to Hollywood Producers and Studio Executives

They will be also invited as VIPs and welcome to share a speech on the day of the festival.

Terms and rules

Films submitted to the 2020 Screen Culture International Film Festival must comply with the following;

1. All films must not infringe copyright as all the rights for the footage, music, ex. Any breach of this will result in disqualification of the film and any penalties for misused rights will fall on the filmmakers/submitter and not on any of the film festival employees or volunteers.


2. All films must be original, and sent in the correct format and labelled clearly in order to be accepted into the festival.


3. When you submit your film(s) you are agreeing that:

- 2 We may use any and all footage and names from the movie in association with Screen Culture international film festival information and website.

4. All films must include English subtitles if they are not in English.

For Student Films Only:

- 1 This film was made whilst you were or are a student. Please be prepared to send confirmation of this, or please submit the film with a student ID.
