About the festival

Striving to present the best contemporary short movies that provide insight into the art, complexity and diversity of the Arab world . Our target is to create a unique ecosystem connect and develop Arab film and media projects and empower Arab talent with new voices.
We invite filmmakers from all over the world to submit their films . Our judges appreciate the auteur cinema - films made with a unique artistic vision. The goal of our event is to find new talented filmmakers who will be able to approach the heights of cinematography created by geniuses like Antonioni, Fellini, Tarkovsky, Bergman, Visconti, Godard.

Terms and rules

-We seek films made by Arab or Arab American filmmakers or films relevant to these communities.
-All films must include English subtitles. Exceptions will be made for films with very little or no spoken dialogue.

-We exhibit films in the following formats: DCP with a frame rate of 24 fps or high resolution Blu-Ray. Depending on the quality, we will also consider films available on DVD.We also accept online files in quality storage clouds.

-Each film requires a new submission form.

-Please include a 150-word film synopsis with your entry. If selected, we will use this synopsis in all promotional materials for the festival.

SUBMISSION DETAILS

All submissions require a completed form. Please include all necessary information with the link such as password, director's and/or distributor's contact information, etc. Upon selection we will need additional publicity and marketing materials for our program catalog and media releases. If you cannot access the form or upload your submission for any reason, please contact us at m@egzar.com
