About the festival

NOTE; SCREENING AND JUDGING HAS BEEN MOVED ON ONE WEEK AS THE VENUE'S PROJECTOR HAD A MAJOR FAILURE. WEEKEND 24 AND 25 OCTOBER

This is the sixth short Film Festival for Anglesey and we are welcoming films from anywhere in the world. We would obviously like to understand your film, so please subtitle them if they are not in English.
All that we require is that you mention the "Sea" via dialogue or visually, with a timecode reference to where you feature "the Sea" or we cannot accept your entry.

We will NOT watch your film if you do not mark the TIMECODE where you mention the "SEA" in your SYNOPSIS. Please.

Judges yet to be confirmed (normally industry folks) will choose the finalists of each category at the public screening in the cinema on the 17th October then have a screening of the winners, on Sunday 18th October 2020. We might have a networking event on the evening of the 17th depending on numbers and availability of Judges and entrants.

Anglesey is an Island off the coast of Wales and Holyhead is part of Holy Island an island off Anglesey. The Ucheldre centre is the Arts centre here on the Holy Isle and the cinema for the event is here. Ucheldre is A Welsh language word for Higher Town which is where the arts centre is based. It is in an area of outstanding beauty and the venue itself is also a beautiful building and well worth a visit.

We have loved connecting with other sea lovers and filmmakers since 2014 and we look forward to seeing your films this year.

Plain sailing, love from Angharad Parry - Festival Director.
'Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbour. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover' - Mark Twain

Prizes will be awarded to best in category.
