About the festival

SSFF is an annual event organized by Noon Foundation for Culture and Arts, a non-profit registered at the Egyptian Ministry of Social Solidarity. Noon was established in 2012 by a group of veteran filmmakers and critics with decades of experience in the cinema industry in the aim to spread visual culture across Egypt through leading artistic and cultural events. SSFF Festival aims to promote the public's appreciation of film by creating an opportunity to filmmakers from the international and Arab region to engage in a cultural dialogue and by opening up new markets for distribution.
