The Shining Mountains Film Festival explores activism, spirituality, loss and victory within the NATIVE AMERICAN culture. American Indian filmmakers and guests will appear alongside documentaries, shorts and feature films that exhibit the struggles and beauty contained within the NATIVE AMERICAN culture today and in the past.

Terms and rules

SMFF accepts films, documentaries and narrative features as well as short films, that are made by or about Indigenous grassroots and First Nation Peoples of North and South America.
Format:
In your film package we need one copy of the film in one of the formats below plus a backup copy. The backup copy can be a computer file or BluRay.
We can accept these types of files:
DCP (digital cinema projection) drive formats: FAT32 or NTFS or EXT3
We **cannot run ExFAT**
Computer files: H264-420 or MP4 or Pro Res 4222 standard or HQ
We **cannot run Pro Res 4444**
