Shiver Shorts honors the best in short cinematic works, as part of an annual celebration of independent micro-short and short films from around the world.

Micro-Shorts (under 5 mins) and Short Films (under 45 mins) of all genres and all budgets are welcome!

Our IMDb-listed event's award categories include: Best Comedy, Best Drama, Best Action, Best Animation, Best Horror, Best Sci-Fi, Best Fantasy, Best Thriller, Best Weird / Cult / Experimental, Best Foreign Language, Best Music Video, Best Director, Best Male Performance, Best Female Performance and Best Student Film.

The overall grand prize winners receive our Frozen Maple Leaf trophies for Shiver Short Film of the Year and Shiver Micro-Short Film of the Year!

All of our Official Selections and Finalists are awarded Shiver's Laurels. Official Selections are screened in a state-of-the-art 140-seat movie theater inside a converted railway station in Ontario, Canada.

Filmmakers / Submitters of Official Selections are invited as VIP guests to attend the festival's screenings.

Submissions are open for all Short Films and Micro-Short Films.

Please upload your film to FilmFreeway, or submit a password-protected online screener (eg: Vimeo, YouTube) so we may consider your film for the festival.

Filmmakers / Submitters agree to the terms on the Shiver International Film Festival website. All fees are non-refundable.
