About the festival

The Smarts Young Filmmakers Festival Awards has been organised by Arts Network Sutton (ANS) based in Sutton, London.

The competition is open to all young filmmakers, under the age of 25, from both the United Kingdom and Ireland.

Short films (between 2 and 5 minutes in length) on the theme of "Transformation" can be submitted into one of three age categories.

1. 8-11.

2. 12 -16.

3. 18 - 24.

International submissions are welcome to the competition under a 4th category "Global Showcase". Submissions are free using waiver code

The closing date for the competition is 11.59pm Monday 14th of September, 2015.

A Gala Awards Ceremony and Screening of the winning entries will take place on Monday, 19th October, 2015 at the Empire Cinema in Sutton, London.
