About the festival

Since 2005, the Spokane Jewish Cultural Film Festival has brought international films to Spokane that share Jewish life and culture with the community. Every year, over one weekend, the festival screens three films that offer fascinating glimpses into the diversity of Jewish experiences in Israel and around the world. SJCFF is the Inland Northwest’s largest annual Jewish cultural event that is open to the public. The festival is meant to educate, entertain, and cultivate greater understanding of Jewish life, history, and tradition. In 2021, the festival’s organizers intend to attract 350 or more Inland Northwest residents to outstanding Jewish-themed films introduced by either the filmmakers themselves or regional experts in the films’ subject matter. SAJFS plans to provide post-film discussions, filmmaker Q&As, lobby exhibits, musical performances related to the films, and/or other programming that adds value to each screening.
