STORY IMAGE is an indie film distribution company and is organising this event in picturesque London to discover fresh and exciting filmmakers.

Our Dramatic Competition champions traditional cinematic narratives, Documentary Programme seeks true stories that can touch and teach, while Visual Strand focuses on the expression of the moving image, including animation, music, advertising, experimental and fashion films.

We look for emerging talent and innovative stories told through images.
Jury is led by Pavel Prokopic, PhD, MA Film Aesthetics, Oxford University.

Terms and rules

Submissions open 1st September 2019.

Please submit the work as a secure screener link.

We accept work in progress if clearly labeled as such.

No premiere status is required, work can be released before.

By submitting your work you confirm that you own all the rights and grant permission of:

1) a public screening of the submitted piece by Story Image Film Festival,

2) using the film and names of cast/crew in festival marketing materials,
including festival trailers, posters, flyers, websites and social media pages.

3) give us permission to use your email address for Story Image related marketing purposes. This data will NOT be shared with 3rd parties.

Awards may be adjusted based on which categories receive most quality submissions.
