About the festival

The Student Conservation Council, Wood River Land Trust's junior advisory council, is proud to present the first ever Student Film Festival: What's Your Idaho?

What's your favorite part about living in Idaho? Why do you love our beautiful natural surroundings? What gets you outside and what makes you excited about being an Idahoan?

All 7th - 12th grade students across southern Idaho are welcome to submit 2-8 minute films answering the question: Land is my...

In responding to this theme, students are given the chance to express what the land means to them. This event is all about raising awareness of land protection and preservation - a topic we think many can relate to.

We look forward to watching and better understanding why YOU love the lands of southern Idaho!

The top three filmmakers will be awarded cash prizes at the event. These cash prizes will be donated to the Wood River Land Trust in the contestants' names to benefit the new 150-acre Colorado Gulch Preserve in Hailey.

In addition to cash prizes for video submissions, there will be a raffle for all event attendees. One ticket for the event includes a raffle ticket, and you can buy additional raffle tickets at the event. More info on prizes to come!
