The Artist Bloc will host the 1st annual Summer Bloc Party, which will consist of a pop-up film festival containing short films created by local filmmakers. The best short films will receive awards based on votes from the audience.

1st place:

(1) $40 gift certificate to The Artist Bloc,
(2) $20 gift certificiate to a local business,
(3) Return of Entry fee ($35),
(4) 2 Tickets to the August 28, 2015 Art Social
(5) film showings on TAB social media, website, and email.

2nd place:

(1) $20 gift certificiate to a local business,
(2) Return of Entry fee ($35),

ELIGIBILITY:
Short narratives, documentaries, animation, experimental, and web series under 20 minutes are eligible.

SUBMISSION FORMAT:

NOTIFICATIONS:
Notifications regarding acceptance will be sent no later than August 13, 2015

Can I submit a rough cut of my film?
Yes.

Will the festival return my DVD?
If you are sending us DVDs to review and would like them returned, please include a self addressed, stamped envelope with your submission materials, Otherwise, DVD screens will not be returned.

Will the festival provide feedback on why my film was not accepted?
Unfortunately, due to the volume of submissions, we are unable to provide individualized feedback to filmmakers at this time.
