Originally created by a collective actors based in Toronto Ontario Canada called The Actors Place (TAP); TAPFest was an opportunity for actors to push themselves forward and to create original films that highlights their abilities as actors and filmmakers.
This is the first year that the film festival will be open to nonmembers of the collective to encourage everyone within the GTA to use their original voice and create something fun, creative, unique, weird, etc.
Because the goal of TAP is simply to encourage people to create and to give them an outlet to have the work seen. To that end the main reward is a screening at Cineplex Theatres Yonge and Dundas. This year we have partnered to Cineplex Events to hold TAPFest at this premiere location.
