About the festival

The 1st Boston International Film Food Festival (BIFFF) aims to build communities and foster dialogue about the role of food in our lives. BIFFF is an independent film festival that screens films related to food production, the culinary experience, food technologies and food justice, among other related food themes. BIFFF was founded in 2017 and is based in Cambridge, Massachusetts. BIFFF is also a platform for restaurants and food technology-related companies to expose their products and technologies through our event and marketing resources. BIFFF is a six-day event that will feature parties, receptions, and screenings of about 70 pieces selected from our international call for entries.

Our mission is to develop local communities while bringing a finely curated selection of films from all over the world to Boston. BIFFF also intends to develop awareness about food waste, better-paid food-related jobs and food justice in general. BIFFF also creates awareness and helps to tackle hunger by proposing better ways to distribute food among low-income communities.
