About the festival

The 60 Second Film Festival is a fun collaborative film festival event taking place at the Marina Theater in San Francisco on May 17th, 2019. We encourage the local and international film communities to create short films, a minute long (including titles and credits). We aim to be a creative inspiration for filmmakers, and to provide an exciting and fun viewing experience for the audience. The 60 Second Film Festival has helped hundreds of filmmakers get their work in front of an audience of film lovers.

SUBMIT A ONE MINUTE FILM!

Any Genre, Any Style, and Any Subject is accepted. All films must be 60 seconds or less in duration, including titles and credits.

120 Films are accepted. The 60 best will be placed into the main program and into competition for the grand prize. Anyone anywhere can compete!

Anyone, anywhere in the world is encourage to submit. Every film accepted to the festival will receive "official selection" Laurels. The filmmaker who wins this award will receive a special prize package which includes cash, an award certificate, laurels, official poster and more.

Terms and rules

1. The Film must be no longer than 1 minute (60 seconds, including titles and credits).

2. The Film may be submitted in the following formats:

Standard: 1080 p (1920 x 1080)
Aspect: 16:9
Audio: Stereo, sample rate 48khz (128 kbps)
Codec: MPEG 4 (.mp4) 10 – 20 Mbps
Duration: maximum 00:01:00 (including titles & credits)

3. Any subject matter, genre, style, or language is most welcome (while not required, in some circumstances subtitles can add to the appeal of your film). Competition categories include: Documentaries, Art / Experimental Films, Music / Fashion Video, Romantic / Comedy, Drama / Crime / Thriller / Mystery, Ghost / Horror, Sci-fi / Fantasy.
