Get Ready for An Amazing Challenge!
Local Charlotte filmmakers gather together for the most epic filmmaking weekend this town has ever experienced. Filmmakers are divided into teams in which they must write, shoot, direct, edit and score a 7 minutes short film in only 48 hours!
It's an intense and emotional roller-coaster ride of a weekend. The best part? Filmmakers will have their films screened in front of a live audience of over 500 people! Join us to watch the efforts of local filmmakers come together in a night of film on August 26th and 27th.
There are several awards handed out by professional film critics for things such as Best Actor, Best Music, Best Use of a Prop, Best Special Effect, etc. The overall Best Film goes on to Filmapalooza where it will compete against all 140+ other cities to hopefully make it into the Top 10.
The Top 10 from Filmapalooza head to Cannes 2017 where they are screened in front of a global audience!
There is also an Audience Choice where the winner recieves a cash award right there on the spot!
