About the festival

Thank you to and congratulations to our Winners, the Finalists, and Official Selection submitters for allowing us the opportunity to show your passion in our festival this year. You will all have a bright future.

It was a pleasure to meet the great folks who traveled here to our festival to represent their visions. It is always interesting to hear about their past and future projects.

At the Saturday's writers luncheon provided by Logan's Steakhouse in Marion, Illinois were:

Joseph Mastrolembo from Queens New York who brought us Internal, a story of the epic battle against addiction and suicide and shared some of his projects with us. A talented and up and coming writer, producer, and director.

Mitchell LaMasters a former resident of Marion now calling Louisiana home who showed us a concept pilot called Blue Cash Big Easy. A situational light hearted look into side jobs police partners sometimes find themselves in.

Jason K Allen so talented and diverse. It's a pleasure to see him. He is a film judge, writer, director, producer, star, naturalist, guide, you could spend days talking movies to him. He has a unique perspective on life and he showcased it this weekend with American Sock. We could tell you about it but we won't spoil it for you.

Also this weekend Benjamin Thomas dropped by for the World Premier of his movie The Tempter. The Tempter is the story of a writer who gets caught up in the twisted web of the devil himself while investigating a serial killer in St. Louis.

A big thank you to the Drone entries for taking us to some of the most unique places on the planet.

We heard a lot of good things this weekend about our facility and it is world class. We hope to see more work from the artists who chose us this year and are looking forward to next season.

We are proud to announce the winners of our first annual Hub Film Festival.
