Midnight Film Festival is an event founded by filmmakers for filmmakers.
Midnight Film Festival aims to highlight the work of indie and student filmmakers and creators from all around the globe. We wish to create events where people can come together for a night of community, networking, collaboration, and fun. We at Midnight Films know how challenging it can be to produce your own material from conception to completion, and we want to provide an opportunity for hardworking filmmakers to celebrate their achievements and the success of others.

We are excited to open up submissions for our Third Year! This season we will accept content in the following categories:
Featurettes (up to 50 minutes)
Short Narrative Films (up to 30 minutes)
Short Documentary Films (up to 30 minutes)
Short Animated Films (up to 30 minutes)
Short Dance Films (up to 30 minutes)
Webisodes and Digital Content (up to 20 minutes)
Short Student Films (up to 30 minutes)
Micro Shorts (up to 3 minutes)
Music Videos
Screenplays (up to 30 pages)
This season we will have multiple locations for our screenings. Our Second location will be announced closer to the start date. Please be sure to keep an eye on your e-mails and our social media pages for any and all updates.

FOR OUR SCREENPLAY CATEGORY:
3 Screenplays will be chosen to be included in our TABLE READING series where writers can have actors perform their work for a small audience and receive valuable feedback. This will give writers the opportunity to hear their work out loud, have a discussion about their work, and answer any questions the audience might have.
IT IS THE WRITER'S RESPONSIBILITY TO FIND ACTORS FOR THEIR WORK. We will assist you in locating New York talent but, at the end of the day, it is not our responsibility. Do not submit if you think you won't be able to accomplish this task.
Winners will have the opportunity to upload their work to our digital distribution partner, Cinistream. Cinistream offers digital distribution solutions for filmmakers. Each FIRST PRIZE WINNER will receive a FREE DOWNLOAD of FINAL DRAFT'S latest Screenwriting Software.
