***NOTE: THE DEADLINE FOR THIS CONTEST HAS BEEN EXTENDED. ALL FILMMAKERS WHO SUBMITTED WORK BY JANUARY 1, 2016 WILL BE NOTIFIED IF THE SUBMISSION HAS/HAS NOT BEEN ADDED TO OUR 2016 FESTIVAL BY JANUARY 5, 2016. ENTRIES RECEIVED AFTER JANUARY 1, 2016 WILL BE NOTIFIED BY MARCH 5, 2016.***
Filmmakers must be 10-19 years old at the time the film is created and on the date the film is submitted.
In selecting entries for the contest, judges consider not only a work’s entertainment value and craftsmanship, but also whether or not the work in question is, uplifting, inspirational, spiritual, and if it teaches lessons in ethics and morality.
Entrants are given artistic freedom to select work on a broad range of topics, as long as submissions address Christian and/or Biblical themes.
It is at the discretion of The Narrow Way Film Festival to disqualify entries, at any time, that do not meet rules and terms.
A panel of judges will review submissions that have not been disqualified and inform filmmakers on January 5, 2016 (for films received by January 1, 2016) or March 5, 2016 (for films received after January 1, 2016) if the entry has/has not been selected for the 2016 festival.
Selected entries will be screened during a special youth program on Saturday, July 16, 2016 in Philadelphia, PA.
All filmmakers will receive a prize during the youth awards ceremony, immediately following the screenings, on July 16, 2016.
There is no submission fee.
All TNWFF Young Filmmakers Contest entries must be uploaded via FilmFreeway (no exceptions).
