About the festival

Last year we started a new event series in Berlin called TQU-Tresen. In these events we bring together different queer perspectives through different media and performances. The first 5 events had a big turnout and were extremely lovely.

In November 2018 we hosted our first SHORT FILM NIGHT featuring four fantastic films exploring queerness in Jordan, France, Ghana and Germany. The films told different stories about masculinity, femininity, family relations, art and activism and they left the audience very impressed.

This year we would like to host four more nights of short films. Again we would like to group the films so that they juxtapose different experiences of queerness. We like raising questions and starting a good debate much more than giving answers!

Every experience and approach is valid and we can’t wait to see your submissions. We’re open to all genres and topics, but films should be in English or have English subtitles.

Selected films will be shown at one of our upcoming events in Berlin, Germany and at the Whose Museum in Malmö, Sweden this year.
