10’ Edition of the International Competition for Short Films
2021, 28 june - 04 July
The competition is open to all with no limitation of country of origin. Members of the issuing Association and their families are not eligible.
Start Date: September 10, 2020
Dead Line: April 11, 2021
The entries must be no longer than: 16'00" (sixteen minutes).
Foreign authors must present a version with subtitles in Italian. Alternatively they may send a "SRT / ASS" file of the Short Film script with dialogues in English, and we will be responsible for translation into Italian and editing subtitles in your entry.
The competition consists of 4 sections:
Free Theme - Social Awareness - Animation - Music Video
For organization reasons and in anticipation of such large number of works we prefer entries to be sent online, preferably through specialized platforms: i.e. FilmFreeway, that ensure better management of the films.
All short film entries will be viewed by the Art Panel, which will select the works for the Admission phase. Out of all entries accepted in the Admission a short list o f Finalists entries will be selected for each of the 4 Themes comprising the competition.
The final event will take place on the following days: from 28 June 2021 to Sunday 4 July 2021
The Finalist shortfilm will be projected (on a 5mt x 4mt screen).
Saturday 4 July 2021 from 21.00 to 24.00 there will be the Award Ceremony and the screening of the winning shorts.

All communication with the Entrants is usually carried out by email. The Festival's official website will report all news on the Competition and Festival.
By submitting his/her short film entry to this Competition, each Entrant:
- Claims and warrants to be entitled to all rights to the Entry and any of its components;
Ensures that the contents of the same are freely available and do not violate the laws, regulations or rights of third parties, in particular the regulations governing the copyright and image rights;
Ensures and declares that the work does not contain defamation of any kind.
In any case the Entrant releases the Competition FilmFest Organization and TempoMeccanico Association from all losses, damages, liabilities, costs, charges and expenses of any kind which may be incurred as a result of the contents of the Entry and its public screening.
Entries will not be returned and will form part of the assets of the TempoMeccanico Association archive. The Organization reserves the right to use the submitted material for future events or exhibitions only on cultural and non-profit basis, with the obligation to inform and credit the authors or rights holders.

Special Prize for the best Short Film on THE MEDITERRANEAN, Crossroads of Peoples.
There may be SPECIAL MENTIONS assigned to particularly deserving Short Films. The awards can be viewed at our website: www.traccecinematografichefilmfest.it
The Organization of the Competition firmly wishes that the authors of winning entries be present on the Award evening, and therefore stresses that prizes must be collected personally by the winning Directors or their delegates on July 05, 2019.
All winning Directors are entitled to two (2) nights accommodation at the expense of the Organization of the Festival.
No delivery is considered.
The members of the Art Panel are chosen independently by the Organization of the Competition. The decision of the Panel is final. The Organization is responsible for the final decision on possible controversial cases.
Admitted authors will be informed by e-mail at least 40 days before the start of the Festival. Finalist and Winning authors will be informed by e-mail at least 30 days before the start of the Festival.

Participation in the competition implies acceptance of all conditions set out herein for the Authors.

Under Article 13 of Italian Legislative Decree no. 196/2003, personal data of the participants will be used only for the organization of the Competition for Short Films "TRACCE CINEMATOGRAFICHE FILM FEST", their presence in any subsequent events and initiatives organized or promoted by TempoMeccanico Cultural Association / Tracce Cinematografiche Film Fest.
