Terms and rules

Films are accepted from filmmakers across the world and all genres although must fall under at least one of the following categories:

• Pro-social: a positive message such as, “love your neighbour,” or, “be kind to your parents"
• Pre-evangelistic: a message that introduces its audience to the broad scope of the Christian Gospel
• Evangelistic: a message that confronts its audience with the specifics of the Christian Gospel as outlined in John 3:16 and elsewhere

The UK Christian Film Festival shows the best of Christian cinema from across the world. We are also committed to building a community of Christian filmmakers in the UK and Europe.

The Festival accepts films of all lengths and genres and is passionate about showing the most innovative work, and films that challenge the boundaries of filmmaking.

Categories

The UK Christian Film Festival accepts films of all lengths and any genres within the following categories:
40 minutes and under = short
40 minutes and over = feature

If your film falls outside these categories please let us know! It might be time for a new category!

UKCFF endeavours to complete all selection procedures on 30th September 2020 for the main festival and inform all submitting parties, in writing, if their film has been successful or not after that time. Successful submissions will receive a Filmmaker Festival Pack that will include important information on the Festival, press and publicity, guest accreditation, contact information and how to make the most of participating in the Festival.

Screening

Selected films must send a high-quality copy of the film via Dropbox, WeTransfer or google drive at least four weeks prior to the festival.

The UK Christian Film Festival will take place online between Nov 3 - 7 2020.

UKCFF will only screen films received digitally.

UKCFF aspires to provide the best quality projection possible but will not be held liable for any failure in the technical quality of the projection, nor will fees be refunded in any such case. UKCFF assumes that the submitting party or filmmaker(s) or entrant(s) or print source company has insured for damage and loss of the festival print or tape.

Screenings are scheduled during the Festival at the discretion of UKCFF. Whilst every effort will be made to adhere to the published schedule, UKCFF reserves the right to make changes at any time for any reason. UKCFF will not be liable for any costs claimed as a result of a change in schedule.

No film may be withdrawn from the festival programme after its selection.
