About the festival

The UNO Filmmakers Club presents the largest student run Film Festival in Louisiana, sponsored by the University of New Orleans Department of Film and Theatre. This year's 13th Annual UNO Film Festival will be hosted in the Robert E. Nims theater in the Performing Arts Center on UNO’s Lakefront Campus.
The festival showcases the best short narrative and documentary films made by students and independent filmmakers from New Orleans to around the globe. The UNO Film Fest is organized by the UNO Filmmakers Club, a group of dedicated graduate and undergraduate film students who hope to bring the festival into the spotlight of a growing film industry in New Orleans, or as we like to call it, Hollywood of the South.
