About the festival

The Los Angeles Museum of the Holocaust Student Film Showcase is the LA Jewish Film Festival's youth film showcase, featuring works by middle and high school filmmakers passionate about social justice and genocide awareness.

The LAMOTH Student Film Showcase will be held on Sunday, April 30th 2017.

We are looking for student filmmakers inspired to speak up through film for this year's Student Showcase.

Submission Requirements:
- Films must be made by middle and/or high school student(s)
- Films must be under 10 minutes in length
- Considered films will explore topics of social activism, genocide awareness (related to the Holocaust or other genocides), tikkun olam
- Films can be Public Service Announcements (PSAs), narrative, documentary, animation, etc as long as they are under 10 minutes

Terms and rules

- We accept all forms of films - Public Service Announcements (PSAs), narrative, documentary, animation, etc as long as they are under 10 minutes

- Eligibility: Open ONLY to middle and high school students (grades 6-12). We also accept films made by graduated seniors if the film was produced in the previous school year. All work may have been produced during the previous or current school year.

- Length of Film: 10 minutes maximum

- Rights and Licensing: By submitting a film to the LAMOTH Student Film Showcase, filmmakers affirm that they have cleared all rights to materials within their films including but not limited to music rights, actors releases, etc.

- All filmmakers must be able to provide a digital H.264 HQ or .mov file if selected
