About the festival

RGV Film Society’s mission is to ignite the advancement of the Rio Grande Valley’s motion picture industry, empower filmmakers and support the creative community. We’re about getting people “Filming” in the RGV, The Show Biz, and Our Community and Culture.

Weekend of film is a weekend take over where you can explore all aspects of film making here locally. it's an opportunity to hear from experts. An evening to showcase local talent, local films, local content- all things RGV on the big screen. There are plenty of video projects, short films, documentaries and features being shot in the beautiful Rio Grande Valley...
However there wasn't a night to recognize this work until now, The Weekend of Film focuses on showcasing local projects.
