Mixquic is a very mystical town at the skirts of Mexico City; proud of its traditions of pre-Hispanic origin, year after year the town prepares itself for the celebration of the dead by creating elaborated and rich offerings full with symbolism and meaning. They follow a ritual of several days that begins with the reception of the injured victims and culminates with the spectacular illumination in the cemetery where the families meet and gather to remember.
