Hayley is a painfully shy but curious girl on the cusp of adolescence. Her mother Deborah pushes Hayley to attend a party being thrown by a popular girl in her class, but Hayley doesn't feel comfortable going. When Deborah is called out of town for a few days, Hayley is introduced to her new nanny, Georgia. Georgia, or Gia as she prefers to be called, quickly sizes up Hayley as lacking both confidence and excitement and attempts to give her both.
