Biography

Charles was raised in a remote country town in Victoria, Australia. After more than a decade of work, his acclaimed short films have screened at more than 180 of the worlds most prestigious festivals including Cannes, TIFF, Clermont-Ferrand, SXSW, Telluride, Hong Kong, Rotterdam, Busan, MIFF and Sydney. His latest film ‘All These Creatures’, currently available on the Criterion Collection, won over 60 awards including the Australian Academy Award (AACTA) and the Palme d’Or at the 2018 Cannes Film Festival. Charles is currently developing his first feature film INSIDE, supported by Screen Australia and selected as part of TIFF’s 2019 Filmmaker Lab and the Golden Globes HFPA 2020 Residency. He is repped by Casarotto for film and TV, Partizan for commercial projects and managed by Exile Entertainment.
